Hi, All these black beauties will be available in January, white ones are available for UK customers at http://smeaudiosolutions.co.uk and black ones will be there in January.
We’ve had the nanopad for about a week, but only for testing.
We love it…the feel of the pads is great, great dynamic range. Only three adjustable velocity curves, but you have to hit less hard than a trigger finger overall, which I like.
Mapping is pretty easy with the control program, much less confusing than enigma. XY pad is not supersmooth in texture, in fact, it’s a little ‘nubbly’ underneath, but I like that.
Roll function is surprisingly usable…to use, you hold down a drum pad and use the xy pad to control the speed and volume of the roll – does not quantise to your tempo, but still surpisingly fun.
The lite version of ez-drummer included is actually pretty decent for snares and hats.
nano KEY rocks!
“Blown Away! Yeah it is that good! Korg really out did themselves on the nano products. Many times I’ve read things by other manufactures claiming to change the world of music. The specs say one thing and very often what you get is a piece of junk not even close to the specs. You won’t find this with Korg’s nano products. When they say velocity, THEY MEAN VELOCITY! The nanoKEY has real velocity…”
Excellent Product. Buy it today.
“I love this product and would recommend it. The quality of the product is excellent. I received my nanoPad a few weeks ago and have been having fun with it ever since. The nanoPad is extremely portable and it goes where you go. I have not seen anything with the features of the nanoPad at the price of the nanoPad. Great work Korg. What are you waiting for? Get your nanoPad today. I also recommend…”
Korg nanoKONTROL rocks!
“I’ve wanted something like this for 20 years now. First, the laptop software allows me to build a set where I can actually sustain an instrument while I select the next fully configured instrument I need. Now, the nanoKontrol allows me to seize control of all those beautifully modeled Hammond, guitar, and clavinet voices in real time while I play. I just bring the laptop and the nanoKontrol, and…”

You can buy them in the United Kingdom at SME Audio Solutions
There are three different controllers in the line:
- nanoKEY: 25 keys, transmitting either as MIDI notes or (via a separate mode) Control Change (CC) messages. Octave shift (natch). Pitch, modulation. And it’s supposed to be velocity-sensitive, too, although we’ll have to get our hands on one to see how sensitive it is.
- nanoPAD: 12 pads, supposedly inheriting the terrific sensitivity and feel of the padKONTROL, which is pretty much the favorite pad controller round these parts. Chord Trigger. Control Change mode (as with nanoKEY). There’s even an X/Y touch pad with roll and flam mode, favorite features of the padKONTROL.
- nanoKONTROL: 9 faders, 9 knobs, 18 switches, transport controls. (No, really.) MIDI notes, 168 CC messages. There are even attack and decay times for the switches, allowing them to work as faders, filter controls, effects settings, and the like – something I’d love to see on other (full-sized) controllers.
Basically all three Nano Controllers are USB MIDI devices that can work with various music software that supports MIDI. The nanoKEY comes with a free download for Korgs nice M1 Le synthesizer software with some great classic Korg synth sounds. The nanoPAD has a free download for EZDrummer 1.14 to get you started with some rockin’ beats and the nanoKONTROL gives you a $50 off coupon for Ableton Live music editing software.
You can get them all, in white or black from KORG Nano Controllers UK.
